ABOVE THE DERBYSHIRE DOME

The density of golems in the shadow of the womb 
head deep sunk in night pad 
isicles loom     
sluicing drip fed angels 
gather 
still born stars 
splice my memories treasury 
a snakes wedding 
of fading scars 
dropsical they plummet 
hot diminishing coals strewn 
 bursting from split summit 
cascading 
  around my room
